Today I want to share a testimony with you, a few months ago we took a very big leap of faith. We knew what we were getting ourselves into but, we prayed about it and God showed us the way. Long story short our income went down to 50% less, as you can imagine that is a huge amount of money we don’t have anymore.
You always read in the Bible that God will provide and be there for us but, when you go through a situation where you really need God, human nature kicks in and you start to doubt. Well, let’s start by saying I can now testify that God really stays true to His Word! We have a saying in South Africa, it’s not January it’s Janu-worry, purely because January feels like 4 months long! Last week we had nothing left to eat except for 24 viennas, pasta and rice. Chris and I were trying to plan how we are going to make it until the end of the month, the next moment we hear someone calling from our gate…It was my brother in-law with food for the night!
We couldn’t believe our eyes! My grandparents, funny enough, went through the exact same thing many years ago, they also had no food in the house and they set the table held hands and started thanking God for the food, next moment someone knocks on the door. Yes, you guessed it, they had food with them! My mother in-law came to visit this past weekend and guess what, she brought us enough food for the rest of the month!
God is so faithful, He will never go back on His Word. In Exodus 14:19-20 God gave them protection and provided them with what they needed during the time they left Egypt. No matter what you are going through today, I want to encourage you to really seek God and ask Him to help you get through it. If He can make an army disappear in the ocean He can make your situation, fear, stress and sickness disappear too.
19 The angel of God, who had been going in front of the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them. The pillar of the cloud moved from in front and stood behind them. 20 So it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel. It was a cloud along with darkness [even by day to the Egyptians], but it gave light by night [to the Israelites]; so one [army] did not come near the other all night. – Exodus 14:19-20
