We all go through bad seasons, most of the time we brought it on ourselves. This morning I was reading a few verses on the Bible App and I noticed a comment on one of the verses, it blew me away.
A man commented and said that when we are in captivity we should learn to thrive in it, go on with our lives. Get married, have children, build houses and work on the future. Instead of worrying and complaining about the situation we find ourselves in. Carry fruit in the midst of the situation/captivity, to find peace.
It reminded me of the following verse: “But when the people of the land come before the Lord at the appointed feasts, he who enters by way of the north gate to worship shall go out by way of the south gate. And he who enters by way of the south gate shall go out by way of the north gate. No one shall return by way of the gate through which he entered, but shall go out straight ahead [through the opposite gate]. 10 When they go in, the prince shall go in among them; and when they go out, he shall go out.” – Ezekiel 46:9-10
The seasons in our lives are like doors, you enter the one and exit the other. You can’t exit the door you came in with, don’t look back to Egypt, keep moving forward. In verse 10 it says the prince shall go among them, I see that as Jesus is with us in-between doors. He is with us every step of the way, when we can’t see the door ahead of us He reassures us that the future is bright. I don’t know about you but, to me that is the biggest honour ever! Having Jesus by my side with every step I take and one day we will actually SEE Him walk beside us.
This is a short message for this week but I think it says enough to encourage you to trust Jesus and move forward.
